So i made a room so that i could make sore component rules over a certain area ( component height limit).
but later i realised i need to put some other rooms in that are proper ones, an ADC room and a some SMPS room
How should i manage rooms now since it is a huge pain to deal with rooms in rooms am i doing it wrong?

Selecting rooms is (almost) only possible if they do not overlap, as Altium has the bad habit in selecting the wrong one.
In this case (screenshot) I could extend the rooms a bit so each would be single (in Z direction).
Do note that even though rooms are either top or bottom, there technically is no difference between them.
Also note that rooms can have 0 with area.
