XIAW ESP32c6 NOT TO FIT

Moro , 04-14-2026, 09:27 AM
Hello, I designed my first PCB and I would like to manufacture it. Since I already have the ESP32-C6, I don’t want to solder it directly onto the board. Instead, I plan to modify the schematic to use pads and headers so I can mount it later.

However, I have a problem: on the back of the board, there is a 3.3 V pin that is not connected to a header, as shown in the picture. I have no idea how to connect this pin to my PCB.

Do you have any suggestions?

probably need to make or find small breakout board for it's footprint in this case

if not you can probably get away with soldering a small jumper on this pin
the rest of the board looks like a normal 2.54mm pitch so you can probably solder male header to it and female headers to the pcb if this is what you mean

I think spring pins is also an option but didn't use them mounted on a board before so can't verify if it's a good idea

Thank you so much for your help

i don't think you need to connect the 3v3 on the bottom. these pads at the bottom look mostly used as testpoints. you have 3v3 on the edge connector, it is probably the same pin, you can measure it
