Alitum Library Creation

Hello sir,I wanted to create own library with the parts downloaded online and from manufacturer part search with the same layers and colors. Is it possible to do so? Can you please suggest me which library will be good to manage for that integrated or database library.?Also how to export layer set in altium to import the same in other designs?Thanks in advance.🙏

I personally only use schematic and pcb libraries.Integrated libraries to me seem only useful if you share that library with others (not on the same network).Database libraries may be useful for resistors and capacitors, but for me it was to much work setting it up.I use the standard layer color from Altium, but my layer definition is as the attached picture.For more info as how I do libraries see this post: https://discord.com/channels/1119543365546029098/1161026020128862258

No I am asking how to export the layers set in altium? i am unable to export and then import in another design.

Layers or layerset?Layers are in Layer Stack Manager. There you should be able to "Save as" and "Load Stackup from File".

This will not answer your question, but it may help. I recommend to use as many defaults as you can: any customization in settings is pain during software updates + if you have Altium on number of different computers you have to sync the customization + when looking at others people projects it is easier if everyone is using everything the same. I used to customize a lot, but I give up on it, as it is much easier to use defaults and only change the most annoying things.

yes i agree with you. But sometimes its easier when you have your own naming when checking the pcb with more components. Thank you🙏🏼
