About an issue with full polygon pour

mulfycrowh , 09-04-2023, 12:27 AM
Hi everyone,

I have a 12 layers design.
I have no issue except on 1 layer:
The full polygon pour avoids one component as you can see on the screenshot.
I don't have any cutout.
I don't have this issue on the other layers.

Any idea?

Try selecting the polygon and look to the properties panel. Some settings there controls how the polygon fills into small spaces

  • Remove Islands Less Than In Area.
  • Arc Approx.
  • Remove Necks Less Than .
  • Pour Over All Same Net Objects
  • Remove Dead Copper

Sometimes these ☝️ controls mess up how polygons fill into small spaces

@WhoKnewKnowsI have a backup of a previous version of the same design.
I don't have this issue.
We can see that the opening exactly follows the 3D model on the component.
If I remove the component and repour all, I don't have the issue.

Any idea maybe...

I don't know. I wonder if you've followed my previous advise and it didn't help or have ignored it in order to share this additional info that you might have shared from the beginning.

Why is helping you here such an exasperating experience?

@WhoKnewKnows I followed what you said but didn't see any issue in the settings

Your 3D body is on a signal layer. Put the 3D body on the Top 3D body layer.

@qdrives I really appreciate your technical answer.
I had to change the diameter of the vias on the pad: from 4020 to 5030.
I updated from PCB Libraries and the issue went from its itself.
I don't know.
Your comment is nevertheless very interesting.

If I place a 3D body on a copper layer (and repour), the polygon will not go where the 3D body is.
Also the area is marked the same (single diagonal lines).
